I believe everyone should have the opportunity to develop a love for playing the piano. It is my hope that all my students have a positive experience that will enable them to achieve whatever they would like to do with music. Whether it's performing for other people, composing for their own enjoyment, or anything in-between, I use my training in classical piano and my experience with jazz, pop, and religious music to best connect with what interests my students.
Ethan Seegmiller has a Master's degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Utah State University and spends his time teaching, composing for his students (including pieces published by FJH Music), and performing. He taught at the USU Youth Conservatory for six years and had students win awards at the annual piano festival and Christmas Concert. He has been able to learn from some of the best pianists in the world in masterclasses and private lessons, including Dang Thai Son, Kevin Kenner, Yekwon Sunwoo, and Spencer Myer. While at Utah State, Ethan studied with Gary Amano, Dennis Hirst, Kevin Olson, Mayumi Matzen, and Cahill Smith.
Ethan is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the Treasure Valley Music Teachers Association.
